Job Summary

As a Facilities Technician at Wire Belt, you will…

Support a clean, safe, and well-maintained work environment through routine facility upkeep, grounds care, and janitorial support. This role also assists with light carpentry projects, including building shipping crates, and providing general facilities support across the site.

Duties
  • Perform routine facility upkeep such as light carpentry, minor plumbing tasks, wall repair, painting, and mounting fixtures (e.g., TVs, bulletin boards).
  • Support shipping operations by constructing wooden shipping crates using hand and power tools according to specifications.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of facility spaces, including restrooms, cafeteria, production floors, and common areas.
  • Collect, sort, and dispose of trash, recycling, scrap materials, and metal pin scrap; maintain cleanliness around dumpsters and scrap areas.
  • Maintain crate shop organization, cleanliness, and basic material inventory levels.
  • Perform non-emergency grounds and exterior maintenance, debris pickup, drain clearing, and other seasonal tasks.
  • Clean oily or high-traffic production areas as needed to support a safe manufacturing environment.
  • Provides janitorial support and backup coverage as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements

A reliable, self-directed facilities professional who can take ownership of the role and work independently. The right candidate will have hands‑on experience with light carpentry (including safe and confident use of saws and nail guns), basic repairs such as drywall patching, touch‑up painting, and minor plumbing fixes, and be comfortable building crates to specification. You must be dependable, safety‑minded, able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs., and fluent in English to follow procedures and communicate effectively with the team.
