Job summary

Silver Tree Residential, LLC is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team at Our Lady of the Lake Apartments in Baton Rouge, LA. You will perform preventive maintenance, handle work orders, and coordinate with the Directors to uphold quality standards.

Applicants should have at least 3 years of property maintenance experience, own their tools, and be skilled with HVAC, appliances, electrical, plumbing and carpentry. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.

Maintenance Technician

Silver Tree Residential, LLC is looking for a dependable, quality-focused, and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our growing team at our newly acquired property, Our Lady of the Lake Apartments. This senior-living apartment community is comprised of 255 independent senior-living apartment homes in Baton Rouge, LA. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the prompt and efficient performance of all tasks assigned by the Community Director and/or Maintenance Director and for continuous self-improvement of skills and expertise. We are looking for a reliable team member who is willing to uphold our community to the highest standards.

Summary of Requirements

• Working with Directors in managing all maintenance-related and capital improvement activities within an assigned property.
• Inspecting, scheduling, and performing routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as necessary or as directed by the Directors.
• Capable of dealing effectively with supervisors, residents, vendors, and co-workers.
• Satisfying work orders promptly and efficiently.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and various appliances, stoves, dishwashers, disposals, and refrigerators. Some familiarity with electricity, plumbing, and carpentry is required.
• Assist in the make ready process of vacant apartments to get them ready for new move-ins in a timely and detail-oriented manner.
• Prior property maintenance experience is preferred.
• Must have his/her own tools.
