Job summary

Silver Tree Residential, LLC is hiring Facilities Technicians to support City View Towers in Memphis, TN. You will perform maintenance tasks, schedule preventive work, and assist in preparing vacant units for new residents.

Applicants should have property maintenance experience, knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry, and must own basic tools. A valid driver’s license is preferred and physical mobility is required for on-site duties.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance-related and capital improvement activities for the property.
• Inspect, schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment as directed by Directors.
• Coordinate with supervisors, residents, vendors and coworkers to complete work orders promptly.
• Inspect and service PTAC units as directed by Community or Facilities Director.
• Assist in make-ready of vacant apartments to prepare for new move-ins.

Facilities Technician

Silver Tree Residential is looking for multiple, quality-focused Facilities Technicians to join our progressively growing team at City View Towers. The Facilities Technician is responsible for the prompt and efficient performance of all tasks assigned by the Community Director and/or Facilities Director and for continuous self-improvement of skills and expertise. We are looking for a reliable team members who are willing to uphold our community to the highest standards.

Summary of Requirements:

• Working with Directors in managing all maintenance-related and capital improvement activities within an assigned property.
• Inspecting, scheduling and performing routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as necessary or as directed by the Directors.
• Capable of dealing effectively with supervisors, residents, vendors and co-workers.
• Satisfying work orders promptly and efficiently.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and various appliances, stoves, dishwashers, disposals, and refrigerators. Some familiarity with electricity, plumbing, and carpentry is required.
• Inspecting, scheduling and performing routine preventative maintenance on all PTAC units as necessary or as directed by the Community Director or Facilities Director.
• Assist in the make ready process of vacant apartments to get them ready for new move-ins in a timely and detail-oriented manner.
• Prior property maintenance experience is preferred.
• Must have his/her own tools.
• A valid Driver's License and dependable transportation is strongly preferred.

Qualified candidates will have property maintenance experience. General working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry will also be accepted. It is essential that the Facilities Technician report to work at his/her regularly scheduled work hours, and have the physical capability to walk all around the property (including stairs), lift heavy items, and otherwise perform a variety of physical tasks regularly and as needed.
