Job summary

Silver Tree Residential, LLC is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team at Our Lady of the Lake Apartments in Baton Rouge. The technician will perform routine maintenance and capital improvements as directed, ensuring high quality service and safety standards for residents.

The role requires at least 3 years of property maintenance experience, own tools, and the ability to work with supervisors, residents, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years property maintenance experience.
• Ability to inspect, schedule and perform preventive maintenance.
• Capable of communicating with supervisors, residents, vendors, and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting, scheduling, and performing routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as necessary or as directed by the Directors.
• Assist in make ready process of vacant apartments for new move-ins in a timely and detail-oriented manner.
• Satisfying work orders promptly and efficiently.
• Must have working knowledge of HVAC systems and appliances; familiarity with electricity, plumbing, and carpentry.

Maintenance Technician Silver Tree Residential, LLCis looking for a dependable, quality-focused, and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our growing team at our newly acquired property,Our Lady of the Lake Apartments.

This senior-living apartment community is comprised of 255 independent senior-living apartment homes in Baton Rouge, LA. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the prompt and efficient performance of all tasks assigned by the Community Director and/or Maintenance Director and for continuous self-improvement of skills and expertise. We are looking for a reliable team member who is willing to uphold our community to the highest standards.

Summary of Requirements

• Working with Directors in managing all maintenance-related and capital improvement activities within an assigned property.
• Inspecting, scheduling, and performing routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as necessary or as directed by the Directors.
• Capable of dealing effectively with supervisors, residents, vendors, and co-workers.
• Satisfying work orders promptly and efficiently.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and various appliances, stoves, dishwashers, disposals, and refrigerators. Some familiarity with electricity, plumbing, and carpentry is required.
• Assist in the make ready process of vacant apartments to get them ready for new move-ins in a timely and detail-oriented manner.
• Prior property maintenance experience is preferred.
• Must have his/her own tools.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years property maintenance experience. It is essential that the Facilities Technician report to work at his/her regularly scheduled work hours and have the physical capability to walk all around the property (including stairs), lift heavy items, and otherwise perform a variety of physical tasks regularly and as needed.
