Job summary

University of Alabama at Birmingham seeks an Information Systems Manager I to lead Facilities Technology Services desktop and user support across the division. You will oversee help desk, device provisioning, inventory, deployment, and support for desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, and BAS workstations.

This onsite, day-shift role requires strong leadership, collaboration with UAB IT and vendors, and ensuring secure, responsive technology delivery for campus and hospital staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in desktop support, endpoint management, IT operations, or a related IT support environment are required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Facilities Technology Services desktop services group.
• Oversee device ordering, inventory, configuration, deployment, troubleshooting and lifecycle processes.
• Provide and oversee help desk support, including intake, escalation, and documentation of service requests.
• Maintain accurate device inventory and lifecycle documentation for a large user base.
• Coordinate with UAB IT/HSIS, vendors and stakeholders to ensure secure, reliable technology support.
