Job summary

Medxcel is hiring at St Tomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, TN for a facilities technician role focused on testing, inspection, maintenance, and upkeep of facility equipment, structures, and systems.

You will perform routine maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, general repairs, and safety checks to keep high-traffic areas safe and operations smooth in a healthcare setting. The schedule is daytime, with opportunities for growth and training.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the testing, inspection, implementation, and overall upkeep of facility equipment, structures, and systems.
• Conducts routine manufacturer-specified maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems, while handling minor repairs like replacing bulbs and fixing leaks.
• Ensures high-traffic areas (walkways, parking lots, entryways) remain safe and free of debris, hazards, snow, and ice.
• Manages the distribution of materials, moving furniture, equipment, and files between facility locations or storage.
• Conducts daily checks and basic repairs on medical transport gear (wheelchairs), nurse call systems, utility panels, and communication systems while following strict safety/regulatory codes.
