Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the Facilities team at our San Diego site. You will perform maintenance, repair, and upkeep on facility equipment and systems, and work with the EHS team on hazardous waste removal and inspections.

The ideal candidate has strong basic tool knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with vendors and contractors on upgrades and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on facility equipment and systems, including electrical and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems, implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repair activities, and inventory.
• Collaborate with the Facilities team to ensure a safe work environment.
• Follow safety protocols to safeguard personnel and operations.
• Assist in planning upgrades and renovations.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving measures.
• Assist EHS with removal of hazardous waste and inspections.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
