Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Production Set-up and Maintenance assistant to join our facility operations. The role is scheduled Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm, focusing on cleaning, stocking supplies, and supporting EH&S initiatives within a GMP/ISO environment.
The ideal candidate has 0–1 years of experience and a High School diploma or equivalent. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for safety and process improvements across the site.
Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.
Clean designated areas – sweep, mop, wax or buff floors, wash inside/outside windows, dust exposed ceilings, rafters, and overhead lights
Consolidate, move and dump trash into designated containers – operator compactor system, clean and maintain recyclable systems
Use a variety of mops, brooms, cleaning supplies, solutions, carts, ladders, power vacuum/cleaning equipment and power-driven cleaning equipment (company will administer certification to drive power operated equipment)
Stock and replenish cleaning supplies
Comply with statutory responsibility under the national/federal regulations - take reasonable care of your own health, safety and welfare along with teammates that may be affected by your acts at work
Follow established EH&S procedures and policies and encourage teammates to follow them
Participate in EH&S activities such as: root cause analysis, finding solutions, implementing improvements, inspections, and meetings
Complete and remain up to date on required EH&S training
Follow all ISO 13485, GMP, OSHA and plant/corporate standards, policies, and procedures
Observe all safety precautions and regulations at all times in all areas where duties are performed
Report all safety incidents, hazards, and potential unsafe working conditions
Work overtime as required

High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
Applies basic skills and techniques to complete routine tasks within assigned area
Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications
Works on basic and routine assignments
Works within clearly defined Standard Operating Procedures and/or scientific methods
Adheres to all quality guidelines
Works under close supervision
All work is reviewed for accuracy
Any deviations from the norm are approved by the supervisor before proceeding
