Glovis EV Logistics America LLC in Savannah, Georgia is seeking a Facilities Tech to support the Operations department. The role will manage assets of designated operations equipment and participate in continuous improvement of equipment operations.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM for 1st shift and 4:30 PM – 1:00 AM for 2nd shift. Base hourly rate is $21.80 with a $1.30 shift premium for hours between 2:30 PM and 6 AM. Benefits and a total rewards package are available.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical/Electrical engineering background.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel for documentation.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Welding knowledge preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Support the Equipment Assistant Maintenance Manager and Team in the management and maintenance of automotive production support assets.
• Conduct troubleshooting and/or repair for equipment problems or breakdowns.
• Assist with new equipment installation with Glovis engineering cooperation.
• Ability to assess asset conditions and perform General Maintenance tasks and operation of all plant equipment as needed.
• Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss operation variations with supervisors or maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
• Layout, assemble, install, and maintain inventory racking and repairs, replace damaged racking as needed.
• Support SFA in the fabrication and repairs One-Kit and T/W line support structures such as guards, platforms, lift devices, One-Kit sequence racks, sequence dollies and related equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance checks on dock doors, trailer jacks, glad hand locks, PIV battery charging stations and updates battery expiration stickers on all PIVs.
• Inspects, Inventories, Cleans, and maintains all facility assets, equipment and tools.
• Conduct daily GEMBA walks in assigned areas to identify potential safety concerns.
• Performs 7-point inspections on new or leased trailers at the point of receipt and at the end of the lease by documenting the trailer condition in writing and photos.

Facilities Tech

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Tech to provide support for Operations department. The Facilities Tech will manage assets of designated operations equipment. This person also develops, coordinates, and participates in continuous improvement of equipment operations.

This position is a 1st Shift role. The base hourly rate for the Facilities Tech is $21.80 an hour. There is an additional shift premium of $1.30 an hour for any time worked between 2:30pm and 6am. Premiums are subject to change .

Responsibilities for a Facilities Tech:

Qualifications for Facilities Tech:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Educated and experience of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel for documentation.
• Good knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Preferred knowledge of Welding.
• Ability to understand mechanical troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent people skills to include collaboration in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.
• Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success.
• Adheres to GLOVIS PPE policy and company dress code.

Physical Demands for Facilities Tech:

• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
• Ability to safely use and operate Powered Industrial Vehicles in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ability to Bend, turn, and use peripherals as required to operate equipment safely within company standard operator procedures.
• Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing up to 50 lbs., depending on the location, throughout shift.
• Able to work in a warehouse environment for up to 8-hour shifts, and any overtime hours if applicable.
• Domestic travel to customers, suppliers, or other sites as needed.
• Use of protective equipment, devices, and clothing.
• Ability to ascend/descend ladders.

The hourly payrate for the Maintenance Tech is $21.80 an hour.The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
