Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Facilities/Maintenance Technician to operate and maintain industrial facilities equipment, including HVAC, chillers, boilers, and fire protection systems. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, RCA support, and coordinating with third-party vendors to ensure safety and reliability.

The role requires strong reading/comparison of procedures, math skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, SOPs, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
• Ability to write reports with mathematical emphasis.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees at all levels.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal relation skills.
• Problem solving.
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• CAD experience or knowledge is preferred.
• Able to stand for 2 hours, lift up to 40lbs, squat/kneel/bend, climb on platforms and mezzanines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facility maintenance and environmental monitoring activities are on schedule.
• Coordinate with third-party for predictive maintenance and repairs of chillers, cooling towers, and other utility equipment.
• Propose improvements to maintenance strategies based on reliability studies.
• Support Facility Team in RCA and FMCEA analyses and continuous improvement activities.
• Plan and schedule all maintenance work for a minimum of a 2-week period.
• Report to Facilities Manager and coordinate with outside vendors and repair shops.
