Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Facility Maintenance Engineer to support maintenance and upgrades at Forest Park, GA. The role focuses on keeping building systems reliable, safe, and compliant while coordinating with contractors and internal stakeholders.

The engineer will oversee preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and manage inventory and documentation for audits, with opportunities to work in challenging environments, including potential field deployments.

Qualifications

Five (5) years engineering and facility maintenance experience.
Experience in HVAC, power distribution, generator maintenance, and plumbing.
Ability to interface with senior DoW personnel and document technical work.
Proficiency with MS applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to obtain DoW Top Secret clearance and US passport.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for building systems.
Diagnose, repair, and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems.
Monitor and inspect building systems for proper function and safety compliance.
Plan and oversee equipment installation and upgrades for operational efficiency.
Coordinate contracts, vendors, and service providers for maintenance tasks.
Respond to emergencies to minimize disruption to operations.
Maintain logs and reports of maintenance activities for audits.
