Job summary

The Planet Group in Wilton, CT is seeking a Facilities Maintenance & Systems Specialist to support operation, monitoring, and maintenance of building systems at a large commercial facility. You will work with BMS monitoring, CMMS work-orders, preventive maintenance, and building controls support to keep critical equipment running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or college education preferred.
• 3–5 years in facilities maintenance, industrial, or manufacturing environments.
• Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS), building automation, or controls.
• Experience with system commissioning, calibration, controls operation, and/or software integration preferred.
• CMMS experience required; Planon experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the facility's Building Management System (BMS) alarms and identify, acknowledge, investigate, dispatch, and escalate building alarms.
• Coordinate with technicians and facility personnel to ensure alarms and equipment issues are addressed before they impact operations.
• Monitor the CMMS and ensure high-priority work orders receive timely response, troubleshooting, updates, and escalation.
• Schedule and coordinate preventive maintenance and reactive work orders for facility technicians.
• Maintain accurate work-order status and communicate critical maintenance activities through the CMMS and other channels.
• Assist with equipment start-up, system tuning, calibration, and commissioning of BMS/building control systems.
• Assist with fine-tuning building systems as programs, controls, and sequences of operation are developed or modified.
• Communicate regularly with facility leadership, technicians, and vendors regarding maintenance status.
