Job summary

Grand River Health in Rifle, CO seeks a dedicated Facilities Supervisor to support the Facilities Manager in running the department. You will perform maintenance across building systems, assist HVAC operations, and help ensure safe, clean environments for patients, staff, and visitors.

The role requires experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC repair, plus a valid Colorado driver’s license. On-call rotations and safety compliance are essential parts of this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 5 years of facilities management experience and 2 years in healthcare facilities management preferred.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, maintenance or HVAC/mechanical repair.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical repairs and basic HVAC systems preferred; as well as experience in servicing and conducting preventive maintenance tasks.
• Work experience involving steam boilers is preferred, as well as experience servicing mechanical equipment and conducting required preventive maintenance tasks.
• Controls background with building automation systems experience desired, along with basic computer skills.
• Position requires a current Colorado Driver’s License and clean DMV.

What You’ll Do

In cooperation with and under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, assists in the successful operation of the Facilities department at Grand River Hospital District (GRHD).

• Performs maintenance tasks which ensure the safe, reliable, efficient and secure condition of all building, supporting equipment and grounds of GRHD.
• Maintenance and repairs may include plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, electrical, or vehicle preventative maintenance. In performing tasks and duties, abides by the requirements of the Planned Maintenance Program andGRHD policies and procedures. Performs routine maintenance duties and work orders as necessary to provide safe, comfortable, sanitary and pleasant environments for all patients, residents, staff and visitors of GRHD.
• Assists HVAC Technician in operation and maintenance of HVAC equipment.
• To ensure a continual state of readiness, assists in the maintenance and operation of all plant equipment including: boilers, chillers, clinical air pumps, clinical vacuum pumps, clinical gases, liquid oxygen systems and auxiliary gear.
• Scheduling requirements include rotating on-call coverage. Responds to emergencies including but not limited to operation of the emergency electric generators, fire alarm control, HVAC operations, etc. Consistently practices safe working habits and follows all regulatory and hospital standards and policies.
• Applies knowledge of operating principles in electricity, plumbing, hydraulics, mechanics, drive belts, drive chains, fire alarm systems, and blue print reading and interpretation.
• At times, works in coordination with contracted laborers. Operates a company vehicle at times.
• Relies on instructions andpre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Performs a variety of tasks other duties as assigned.

Who We’re Looking For
