Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Superintendent (Non-Union) to oversee maintenance of a commercial or residential property in the New York area. You will be hands-on, inspect facilities, supervise contractors, and manage a preventive maintenance program.

The role requires 3–5 years of maintenance experience with at least 2 years in supervision, a high school diploma or equivalent, and FSD certification. Monday–Friday schedule; competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2-year college degree or technical/vocational certification is preferred.
• FSD Certification is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in commercial or residential maintenance, with at least 2 years in supervision.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facilities and determine service needs and staffing.
• Prioritize work and assign maintenance tasks to personnel.
• May perform repairs and servicing.
• Conduct maintenance, safety, and equipment training.
• Supervise skilled and unskilled staff as needed.
• Develop and oversee a preventive maintenance program.
• Coordinate vendors and contractors for servicing and construction.
• Engage with occupants to address needs and obtain feedback.
• Prepare cost records and budget reports.
• Review project plans and recommend improvements to management.
• Prepare budget estimates and manage inventory.
