Job summary

The Fortune Society, Inc. is seeking a full-time Superintendent to manage day-to-day maintenance for our New York City area facilities.

This on-site role requires hands-on oversight of building systems, minor repairs, and coordination with external vendors to ensure safe, clean, and compliant spaces for residents and staff. Qualifications

Knowledge of building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs.
Experience in facility operations including cleaning, groundskeeping, waste management, and safety procedures.
Ability to coordinate with vendors/contractors, manage work orders, and track activities.
Knowledge of building safety standards and local codes for residential/program facilities.
Strong communication and respectful interaction with residents, staff, and partners.
Excellent organizational/time-management skills with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
