The Ohio State University’s University Hospital facilities team seeks a Facilities Mechanical Steamfitter Associate to install, maintain and repair welded piping systems across steam, condensate and related utility systems. You will read blueprints, troubleshoot pressure and temperature issues and provide timely service to hospital operations.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED with related maintenance/welding experience; additional technical certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and six months’ experience in maintenance, pipefitting or welding.
• Associates or technical degree in skilled trades are preferred for advancement.
• Knowledge of Ohio plumbing code and piping components is expected.
• Valid driver’s license may be required; ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsabilités

• Installs, maintains, tests and repairs welded piping systems and equipment (boilers, steam systems, valves, piping).
• Inspects for leaks, conducts hydrostatic tests and performs preventive maintenance.
• Reads blueprints, reviews drawings and documents labor and materials on work orders.
