Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent plus relevant maintenance experience.
• Six months’ experience in maintenance, pipefitting and/or welding.
• Basic understanding of plumbing and welding codes.
• Knowledge of piping components (valves, fittings, piping types).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Completion of probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair welded piping systems and components.
• Review blueprints and drawings; install/repair/replace piping.
• Measure and cut pipes with hand/power tools.
• Inspect for leaks and test systems.
• Install, certify, repair, replace meters, valves and piping.
• Troubleshoot pressure, temperature and leak issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on piping systems and equipment.
• Install equipment such as fans, pumps and heat exchangers.
• Address customer queries and document work.
• Maintain clean work areas and update drawings.
