Mozaic, a not-for-profit organization serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Finger Lakes region, seeks a Facilities Specialist II to maintain safe, functional, and welcoming environments across its sites. This hands-on role involves plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general upkeep to support the people we serve.

The position is full-time (37.5 hours weekly) with a Monday–Friday schedule, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, at 240 North Ave, Penn Yan, NY.

Competenze

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• At least 2 years of building maintenance experience.
• Familiar with carpentry, electrical, plumbing, heating and AC systems.
• Valid NYS Driver's License.

Mansioni

• Perform maintenance and repair tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general upkeep.
• Assist with renovation projects and preventive maintenance inspections.
• Operate power tools and equipment; support seasonal grounds maintenance and snow removal.

Mozaic (A Chapter of The Arc NY) is seeking a skilled and dependable Facilities Specialist II to help maintain safe, functional, and welcoming environments across our agency locations. As a Facilities Specialist II, you will play a key role in keeping our buildings and grounds operating safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general facility upkeep. You'll assist with renovation projects, conduct preventive maintenance inspections, operate power tools and equipment, and support seasonal grounds maintenance, including snow removal. You'll also help ensure agency facilities remain safe, comfortable, and well‑maintained for the people we support and our employees.

This hands‑on position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is committed to maintaining environments where people can thrive. The role also participates in an on‑call rotation for evening and weekend facility needs.

Pay & Schedule:

Pay range: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm

Full‑time: 37.5 hours per week

Location:

240 North Ave, Penn Yan, NY (Yates County)

Requirements:

Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic

At least 2 years of experience in building maintenance (or equivalent)

Working knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems

Valid NYS Driver's License (acceptable to the Agency's insurance carrier)

Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with supervisors and maintenance staff and complete projects efficiently.
