Job summary
Resources for Human Development (RHD) is seeking a skilled Facilities Specialist in Hamden, CT to oversee maintenance, repairs, and building operations across multiple locations. You will ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems while supporting staff and program participants.
The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of facilities experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and working knowledge of OSHA safety practices.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of facilities maintenance experience or related experience
- Experience with HVAC preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
- Experience working with 110-220V single and three-phase electrical systems
- Knowledge of OSHA and facility safety requirements
Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance, repairs and facility operations for assigned locations ensuring safety and compliance
- Perform HVAC, electrical and mechanical system maintenance and troubleshooting
- Coordinate third-party contractors and inspect building systems regularly
- Document work in maintenance tracking systems and keep records up to date
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies as needed
