A Facilities Specialist 1 is an entry-level position dedicated to supporting daily Facilities Department functions involving the cleaning and maintenance of all departments and/or tenants located in the Corporate Headquarters Building.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Personally, provides exceptional Member service; uses Service Standards in every work-related interaction.
- Actively participates in meeting the goals of the department and the Credit Union.
- Ensures all restrooms in the building are clean and well-maintained at all times by: restocking paper products; restocking women’s products; emptying all trash receptacles and replacing can liners; clean receptacles as necessary; refilling soap dispensers; cleaning mirrors, countertops and fixtures; dusting ceiling tiles, air diffusers and baseboards; and cleaning/sanitizing toilet bowls, seats and urinals.
- Maintains elevators by cleaning call button plates and control panels, removing fingerprints on elevator doors, and dusting exterior elevator frames.
- Maintains interior and exterior doorways and glass doors by dusting all window ledges, removing smudges on glass, polishing kick plates and door handles, and wiping down door hinges as needed.
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs.
- Cleans sinks, countertops, microwaves and refrigerators in break rooms.
- Dusting, cleaning office desks and furniture.
- Maintains stairwells in the building by sweeping daily, picking up and disposing of any trash, and wiping handrails with a sanitizing cleaner at least once per week.
- Maintains hallways, lobbies and reception areas by dusting and cleaning the glass of all fire extinguisher boxes, immediately cleaning any spills and/or marks on walls, and cleaning water fountains daily.
- Maintains all conference rooms by cleaning white boards, dusting window ledges, cleaning glass windows, wiping down tables/chairs with a sanitizing cleaner, and polishing credenzas weekly.
- Ensures cleanliness of all breakrooms daily by wiping down tables/chairs, cleaning and polishing any stainless sinks and appliances, and tidying paper and refreshment products.
- Maintains janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.
- Maintains janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition.
- Ensures proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals.
- Wears proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Order cleaning and vending supplies as necessary through Facilities Department; stock breakrooms and other common areas.
- Responds to cleaning requests submitted to the Facilities Department as needed.
- Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
- Continuously improves knowledge by using learning initiatives through the organization’s training and learning center, as well as cross-training in the duties of a Facilities Specialist 2 to facilitate future growth in the department.
- Serves as a back-up for specific duties typically assigned to Facilities Specialist 2 position, such as: USPS and interoffice mail; performing safety protocols such as propping doors open, maintaining hand sanitizing stations, and checking batteries on thermometers; escorting vendors or other visitors; and warehouse duties related to pick-ups, deliveries and cleanliness.
- Maintains a working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC) applicable to area of responsibility and complies with all laws/regulations.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor as necessary to achieve the goals of the Credit Union and the department.

Pay range for this position is listed below.
Starting pay for successful applicants is generally within the minimum to midpoint of the pay range. Our consideration for pay is designed to support career growth and development over time. Offers extended depend on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to individual experience, knowledge, training, education, geographic location, market demands, and internal equity.
Pay range
Minimum: $21.18/hour | Midpoint: $25.83/hour | Maximum: $30.48/hour

Required
High School or better.
Experience
Required
6 years:
High school diploma or its equivalent and a minimum of six(6) months of facilities experience, or related experience.
