The Great Lakes Science Center is seeking a Facilities and Security Manager to oversee the operation, safety, and physical condition of the center and the Steamship William G. Mather.

The role supervises maintenance staff, coordinates vendors, and manages work orders, preventative maintenance, and safety programs. You will lead daily operations, ensure life-safety compliance, participate in emergency response, and support capital projects and special events.

Qualifikationen

• Requires a high school diploma or GED; vocational training preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial or industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating maintenance workflows.
• Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, welding, and tools.

Aufgaben

• Oversee facility maintenance, work orders, and vendor coordination.
• Supervise Facilities & Security staff across operations.
• Manage budgets, purchasing, and invoices in Financial Edge.
• Maintain life safety certifications and operate fire panels as needed.
• Coordinate safety, security, and emergency response procedures.
• Support capital improvement projects and events setup.
