Atrium Health in Winston-Salem is seeking a hospital environmental services worker to perform comprehensive cleaning across patient areas, offices, and common spaces. You will dust, disinfect, wash surfaces, and maintain floors, restock restrooms, and report repairs as needed.

The role requires adherence to infection-control guidelines, ability to operate cleaning equipment, and the stamina to work in a fast-paced hospital environment. Training and safety updates are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• One year experience preferred.
• Prioritize assignments to complete work on time.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Willing to work in extreme temperatures and around unpleasant smells.
• Ability to work with co-workers.

Responsabilités

• Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting, sanitizing furniture, mirrors and fixtures; washing windows and fixtures.
• Cleans floors by sweeping, scrubbing and refinishing; vacuuming and shampooing carpet.
• Restocks restrooms and replaces light bulbs; reports repairs to maintenance.
• Removes waste by collecting and transporting soiled linen, trash, sharps, recyclables, and cigarette receptacles.
• Keeps equipment clean and reports faults to maintenance staff.
• Maintains safe working environment by following infection control guidelines and procedures.
• Attends required in-service education and training classes and meets deadlines.
