Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a dependable Maintenance Associate to keep our club clean, safe and welcoming. You’ll perform general maintenance, cleaning duties and assist with cart handling, restrooms, floors and exterior areas to ensure a great member experience.

You’ll work with a team, follow safety standards, and complete routine repairs as needed. Prior janitorial or maintenance experience is preferred, and ability to lift up to 30 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred.
• Must be over 18 to operate equipment.
• Retail/wholesale experience a plus.
• Must complete required training and certification processes.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide members with prompt and courteous service while maintaining safety and sanitation.
• Maintain cleanliness of all club areas including sales floor, restrooms, and exterior.
• Gathers and returns carts/flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance.
• Operates floor scrubber, trash compactor and cardboard baler safely.
• Performs minor and routine building repairs and reports major needs.
