Job summary

Park County School District #1 in Powell, Wyoming, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead district-wide maintenance, grounds, custodial services, facilities, safety, and emergency planning with hands-on leadership and budget responsibility.

The role requires a high school diploma; a technical degree or higher is preferred, with knowledge of building trades and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical degree, bachelor’s degree, advanced degree, or relevant experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating building maintenance, grounds, custodial services, safety, or facility renovation/construction is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of building trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, construction, water systems) and code requirements.
• Ability to develop and monitor district facility plans and coordinate with state/city/county agencies.
• Strong skills in writing specifications and managing renovation/construction projects.
• Knowledge of safety programs, emergency planning, fire inspections, and compliance requirements.
• Strong communication, organizational, supervisory, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and provide hands-on leadership for district maintenance, grounds, custodial, facilities, safety, security, and emergency planning.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets and facility operational plans; oversee preventive maintenance and renovations.
• Coordinate inspections, training, compliance, and reporting; supervise and evaluate personnel with building principals and the Superintendent.
