Job summary

Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless (AHCH) seeks a full-time Facilities Manager in downtown Albuquerque to supervise maintenance and custodial teams, oversee building systems, and manage capital projects. The role includes after-hours emergency response, vendor management, and safety compliance.

You will coordinate with the COO, develop budgets, and advance energy efficiency and safety initiatives while ensuring high-quality facility operations for AHCH clients and staff.

Qualifications

• Thrive in a complex non-profit healthcare setting.
• Must have ability to effectively lead capital projects and meet contractual deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel.
• 2 years of leadership/supervision of a maintenance and/or custodial team.
• 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Monitor day-to-day operations of the Facilities Department including the custodial and maintenance team.
• Provide coaching and professional development to custodial and maintenance team.
• Oversee facilities and fleet operations and maintenance to ensure high quality upkeep.
• Ensure health and safety standards and compliance with codes.
• Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with third-party vendors.
• Develop and manage budgets for facility operations, projects, and maintenance.
• Plan and oversee renovations and major construction projects.
