Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of related admin and building mgmt exp or equivalent
• RI state licensure preferred for building trades
• Experience managing research labs in a higher education setting preferred
• Knowledge of lab operations, safety, security, compliance standards
• Strong admin/organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication; collaboration with diverse stakeholders
• Proficiency in MS 365, Google Suite, Adobe, Zoom, Bluebeam Revu, Smartsheet

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily facilities and research operations for the Physical Sciences
• Serve as primary rep for lab facilities on safety, security, and emergencies
• Coordinate with Facilities Management to address maintenance and operations
• Support office moves, space setups, and faculty/staff transitions
• Collaborate with EHS, DPSEM, and stakeholders on safety/compliance
• Read building construction documents and manage blueprints
• Promote safety/compliance and coordinate with building automation systems (JCI Metasys)
