Job summary

Activ8 Recruitment & Solutions is seeking a reliability-focused Facilities Supervisor for a chemical manufacturing site in St. Louis, MO. The role combines engineering data analysis with hands-on plant work to ensure equipment reliability and optimal operations.

You will lead maintenance coordination, perform OEE measurements, troubleshoot on the plant floor, and support capital projects while ensuring safety and process improvements. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field strongly preferred or equivalent experience.
• 5–10+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing or processing plant settings.
• Experience with equipment uptime/downtime analysis and OEE data gathering.
• Reliability-centered mindset with hands-on maintenance capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead facilities and maintenance activities with internal teams and outside vendors to keep equipment and tools in working order.
• Coordinate and execute plant operation and maintenance plans to optimize production load.
• Gather data to determine overall equipment efficiency (OEE) and uptime/downtime metrics.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment on-site to identify root causes and prevention strategies.
• Support capital projects and process/layout improvements as needed.
• Create and organize documents for plant administration, operations, and maintenance.
• Suggest manufacturing process improvements and lead safety collaboration with plant teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
