Job summary

The Salvation Army in Sarasota Area Command is seeking a Property Department lead for full-time, on-site work. You will plan and supervise maintenance, manage repairs and renovations, and ensure security across facilities and fleet assets.

Qualifications include HVAC/plumbing/electrical trades coursework and 7+ years of skilled maintenance with supervisory experience; a valid driver’s license is required. Level 2 background screening applies.

Qualifications

• Two years of coursework in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and construction trades.
• Seven years of skilled maintenance/repair experience for commercial buildings, with ≥2 years in supervision.
• Valid driver’s license; Project Manager certification preferred but not required.
• Background screening at level 2 per Florida regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, supervise maintenance staff and train employees.
• Direct plans for repairs, upgrades, purchases, renovations; track progress.
• Supervise construction/renovation projects; prepare cost estimates and approvals.
• Maintain security of Area Command properties; respond to alarm alerts.
• Oversee fleet maintenance and vehicle tracking.
• Ensure grounds and exteriors are well maintained.
