Job summary

Daimler Truck North America invites applications for a Facilities Manager to lead facility construction projects and oversee Maintenance, Tooling, and Projects teams in Byesville, OH. The role serves as the primary PM for construction and facility upgrades, coordinating contractors and ensuring systems meet business needs.

The successful candidate will build team capability, set priorities, manage resources, and staff accordingly to support safe, efficient manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Industrial Technology, Business, or related field with 5+ years leading maintenance, facilities, tooling, construction, or technical project teams; or 8+ years in lieu of degree.
• Experience managing construction projects, contractors, schedules, budgets, and installation/commissioning activities.
• Knowledge of automation and machine-control systems, including PLCs, servo drives, robotics, and related controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility operations and services, including construction projects, housekeeping, security, building systems, and site upkeep.
• Plan and manage construction and facility improvement projects from scope through commissioning, including schedules, budgets, permits, safety, and stakeholder communication.
• Direct the Maintenance department to improve production-equipment uptime, reliability, maintenance, and response to critical breakdowns.
• Lead the Tooling and Projects group in design, fabrication, repair, and installation of tools and production-support systems.
