Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is building a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the United States. The Local Facilities Manager will oversee design, infrastructure, and production ramp-up, coordinating across functions and ensuring facility readiness.

Qualified candidates bring a mechanical/electrical/industrial engineering background and 8+ years of related experience, with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field is required.
• 8+ years of related experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and automation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility planning and execution for construction, procurement, design, infrastructure, and master implementation planning.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, legal, audits, and corporate procedures.
• Manage building and infrastructure budgets, schedules, milestones, and constraints.
• Coordinate interfaces across units, work packages, and logistics.
• Develop strategies for facility and equipment readiness, including staffing for installation and ramp-up.
• Establish and monitor post-SOP KPIs to drive performance and continuous improvement.
