A2 Federal is seeking a Project Officer to lead strategic planning for 37 facilities of the 363d ISR Wing worldwide. The role develops programming documents, tracks cost and schedule, and coordinates with PMs and facility managers to ensure mission success.

The position requires travel, risk management, and timely reporting to leadership, with emphasis on compliance and customer satisfaction across programs.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and programming projects including long- and short-term facility work and security systems updates.
  • Travel to project locations as required.
  • Identify project scope and requirements.
  • Develop project documentation (DD1391, cost estimates, SOW, etc.).
  • Determine funding mechanisms and coordinate with finance.
  • Coordinate with host installation facility managers.
  • Ensure project goals are achieved and risks are mitigated.
  • Technical review of project documents and plans.
  • Identify and mitigate risks; implement changes to minimize disruptions.
  • Facilitate change requests and inform stakeholders of impacts to schedule and budget.
  • Submit deliverables and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Advise with local representatives through all project phases.
  • Ensure compliance with mission requirements and directives.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction, safety, and team performance.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders using technical knowledge.
  • Establish and maintain project communication plans.
  • Gather and summarize information for project status awareness.
  • Produce timely project status reports and brief leadership.

Job description

The Project Officer is responsible for conducting short-, medium-, and long-term strategic planning for thirty-seven (37) 363d ISR Wing facilities worldwide. The applicant develops project programming documentation necessary to advocate for funding and execute facility projects. The applicant also assists project managers (PMs) in capturing the Government’s requirements; as well as tracking and controlling the project’s cost, schedule, and performance. The applicant also assists the PM in maintaining several acquisition efforts on behalf of the 363d ISR Wing. Additionally, the applicant provides status updates, reports, and briefings to unit leadership and stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Planning and programming projects include long term and short facility projects, bathroom updates, painting, carpet and ceiling updates and, generators service, cleaning service, Security Plan coordination, and intelligence centric communications systems.

  • Utilize technical knowledge and experience to effectively communicate with other stakeholders.
  • Establish effective project communication plans.
  • Gather, analyze, and summarize relevant information to maintain awareness of project status.
  • Producetimelyreports of project status; provide presentation to leadership (weekly, or as needed).
