Job summary

Hm Ec is seeking a Project Manager - Facilities to lead multiple facility construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects in Sugar Land, TX. You will coordinate with engineering, safety, and operations to deliver on time, within budget, and to high standards.

The role covers building automation, HVAC and lab systems, site safety reviews, and liaison with contractors. Strong communication and drawing-reading skills are essential to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience supporting facility construction, renovation, or infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing HVAC projects, laboratory construction, and facility infrastructure improvements.
• Strong knowledge of construction management principles, project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Experience managing contractors and multiple stakeholders.
• Proven strong organizational, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple facility and capital projects simultaneously from initiation through closeout.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to leadership.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within approved budgets.
• Coordinate HVAC testing, balancing, and system performance verification.
• Review engineering drawings and specifications for accuracy and constructability.
• Coordinate facility shutdowns, tie-ins, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure contractor compliance with safety and quality standards.
