Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. (AU) in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Facilities Engineer - Level 2 for a 100% onsite role. You will plan and manage projects, oversee building systems, and coordinate with engineers, managers, contractors, and regulators to ensure safe, compliant operations.

You will influence maintenance programs, lead design and installation of building infrastructure, and collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver on project scope, budget, and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of professional experience OR Master’s degree with 0 years
• No clearance required to start
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and utility systems including chillers, cooling towers, HVAC and BAS
• Experience in managing facilities-related projects including budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and project scheduling
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Project planning, budgeting, contract management, and overseeing project execution
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems and project management skills
• Collaborate with stakeholders including engineers, managers, and contractors
• Routine involvement and influence with site maintenance
• Lead projects from concept to completion including scope, budget, and schedule management
• Oversee design and installation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems and building infrastructure
• Influence preventative maintenance programs and repair activities to ensure operational and safe building systems
• Partner with EHS to adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Act as central point of contact with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and vendors
• Assist in budget planning, monitor project costs, and manage contract finances to stay within budget
