Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Facilities Engineer – Level 2 for a 100% onsite role. You will lead planning, budgeting, and contract management while overseeing installation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and building automation systems.

You will collaborate with engineers, managers and regulators, influence preventive maintenance, and partner with EHS to ensure health, safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years’ exp, or Master’s degree with no exp.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and BAS/utility systems.
• Experience managing multiple facilities projects: budgeting, scheduling, contracts.
• Proficiency with MS Office and scheduling tools (MS Project).
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, budgeting, contract management, and oversight.
• Design and oversee installation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and BAS.
• Collaborate with engineers, managers, contractors and regulators.
• Influence preventative maintenance programs and repairs.
• Partner with EHS on facilities health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Act as central contact for internal teams, consultants, vendors.
• Assist in budget planning, monitor costs and manage contracts.
