Job summary

The Gill Corporation in Maryland is seeking a Facilities Project Engineer to lead facility and equipment projects in a manufacturing setting. You will oversee design, justification, scheduling and implementation, and develop spare parts lists and maintenance plans.

Lean methods help optimize reliability and efficiency. You will coordinate with maintenance and other departments, drive continuous improvement, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering or related field.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred.
• Three years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of computerized maintenance management.
• Budget literacy and basic financial reporting.
• CAD for facility layout and design experience.
• Proficient in MS Office and work-order systems.
• Strong reading and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program.
• Input PM work orders and track status.
• Maintain inventory of critical spare parts.
• Analyze facility workflows to remove non-value-added steps.
• Improve production and reduce downtime.
• Design plant layouts and equipment workflows.
• Coordinate installation/repairs with teams and contractors.
• Lead projects to meet production goals and budgets.
• Maintain maintenance records and schedules.
• Oversee environmental and related projects with vendors.
