Job summary

Atria Senior Living, Inc. is seeking a Porter to maintain cleanliness and curb appeal across community areas, interiors and exteriors, ensuring a safe, neat, attractive environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include floor care, trash removal, grounds maintenance, basic maintenance requests, and the ability to work various schedules. Training provided; must read safety instructions and operate basic tools safely.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete all Atria specified training programs.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; perform these operations with US currency, weight, and distance.
• Able to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.
• Able to safely use basic maintenance and landscape hand tools and light power tools.
• Porters will work with caustic materials and cleaning equipment; read and comply with safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning services for community spaces, apartments, and common areas in a safe, neat, clean and attractive condition.
• Provide floor care for carpet, tile, and wood floors including vacuuming, extracting, buffing, sealing, and stripping.
• Compact and remove trash and debris from community areas.
• Maintain grounds including sidewalks, walkways, stairways, building exteriors, and garden areas.
• Perform basic maintenance related work requests.
• Mow lawns, trim shrubbery, and cultivate flowers (varies by community).
• Notify management concerning repairs.
• Report unsafe conditions promptly to Supervisor.
• Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work performed.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
