Job summary

Community Housing Innovations, Inc. seeks a Porter to maintain cleanliness, appearance, and safety standards at our Bronx facilities. Responsibilities include basic maintenance, trash removal, lobby support, and ensuring a safe environment for residents and staff. Pay is $19.24 per hour, approx.

$40,000 annually. This non-exempt role is eligible for overtime and includes night/day shift opportunities. Strong reliability and attention to safety are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: 1+ years cleaning and sanitizing a residential or similar site.
• Certifications: OSHA online training for Bloodborne Pathogens and PPE within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance tasks daily including trash removal.
• Support front lobby and facility operations; keep areas clean and safe.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness; follow supervisor tasks.
• Identify hazards and report them promptly; ensure safety practices.
• Maintain CHI Health & Safety program compliance and inspections.
