Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Facilities Mechanical Plumbing Technician to maintain and repair plumbing systems including domestic water, heating hot water, chilled water, backflow preventers and specialty water systems. You will inspect, test, install, fabricate, modify, troubleshoot piping and equipment, respond to emergencies, and document activities.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and two years of plumbing experience; EPA 608 Universal

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of experience in the plumbing trade and related equipment.
• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification- Universal may be required.
• OSHA 10-hour General Industry Safety and Health card is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, install, fabricate, modify, and repair plumbing systems and equipment.
• Respond to emergency situations and correct defects.
• Adhere to safety procedures and maintain documentation.
• Provide high level of customer service and communicate with customers and supervision.
