Facilities Plant Engineer 2

$44.22-$46.73/Hour

Responsibilities:
Support facility infrastructure, equipment installations, and utility systems including central utility distribution and self-contained buildings.
Determine causes of asset failures and capacity reductions using reliability tools (e.g., life cycle analysis, fault tree analysis, root cause methodology).
Analyze current conditions and future requirements to recommend capital improvements and evaluate design alternatives.
Translate customer requirements into conceptual designs, specifications, and cost estimates.
Identify suitable materials, equipment, and services using engineering principles.
Create project drawings, specifications, and permit applications aligned with applicable codes and regulations.
Review contractor proposals, oversee project progress, and coordinate with vendors and regulatory agencies.
Maintain accuracy of drawing archives and ensure updates from contractor redlines and as-built drawings.
Support planning and construction projects with emphasis on industrial HVAC, lighting, BAS/SCADA systems, compressed air systems, and paint booth operations.
Explore and implement site infrastructure improvements in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry from an accredited institution.
4+ years of related engineering or facilities experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2+ years of experience supporting, troubleshooting, or administering BAS, SCADA, PLCs, or lighting control systems.
2+ years of experience working in an engineering, facilities, or maintenance capacity in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with control systems such as TRANE, Honeywell, Allen-Bradley, Johnson Controls, nLight, and Payne Sparkman.
Proficiency in Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Revit.
Experience in reactive maintenance for mechanical and electrical building systems.
