Job summary

Qualifications

• Possession of a high school diploma or GED and 3 years experience in building maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of building maintenance, repair, renovation, and construction practices and methods.
• Ability to safely operate power tools, construction equipment, and heavy machinery.
• Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, carrying, climbing, and bending.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior painting at facilities.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching holes, repairing minor drywall damage, caulking, priming.
• Apply paint, stain, sealant, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, sprayers, or other equipment.
• Perform routine touch-up painting and cosmetic repairs to maintain appearance and condition.
• Match existing paint colors and finishes for repairs and touch-ups.
• Protect floors, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and surrounding areas; clean work areas after completion.
• Move or assist with moving furniture and equipment as necessary to complete work.
• Safely use and maintain painting tools, ladders, equipment, and supplies.
