Job Summary

The Painter performs high-quality painting and finishing work at hospital locations, adhering to safety and infection control standards. Collaborating with the facilities team, the role involves preparing surfaces, applying finishes, and managing work orders efficiently to minimize disruptions.

Key Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation and Painting: Clean, sand, patch, prime, and paint surfaces, selecting environmentally safe products when needed. Match paint colors accurately.
• Quality Control and Finishing: Ensure surfaces are smooth, defect-free, and meet standards. Repair as necessary, with proficiency in caulking, sealing, and drywall repair.
• Project Management: Use facility management software to prioritize and complete work orders, coordinate with hospital staff, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 3-5 years in professional painting, preferably in healthcare or commercial settings.
• Skills: Techniques in brushing, rolling, spraying; surface prep; color matching; attention to detail; teamwork; project management.
• Certifications: OSHA 10/30 preferred; infection control (e.g., ICRA) a plus.
