Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee hard services for a new electric vehicle battery plant in Glendale, KY. You will lead a technical team, manage maintenance planning, and ensure all equipment performs to specifications to support uninterrupted manufacturing and administrative operations.

The role requires a strong customer-service mindset, excellent communication, and the ability to translate contract terms into operational actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in Facility Management with 10+ years.
• Five years of HVAC, Facilities, Housing or parallel industry.
• Two years of management leadership experience.
• Prefer BOMA and/or IFMA designation (RPA/CFM).
• Knowledge of OSHA codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide hard services management of MEP equipment to maintain uninterrupted manufacturing and administrative functions.
• Plan preventative maintenance, repairs, lifecycles and budgets; manage client relationships and lead technical staff and schedulers/planners.
• Coordinate with trades and engineers; ensure contract requirements and policies are followed and information in CMMS is accurate.
• Oversight of day-to-day and long-term work activities; hire, promote and manage staff; provide training and guidance to the team.
