Job summary

University of Nebraska at Omaha seeks a Facilities Operator to maintain and service HVAC, boilers, chillers, and related equipment on a Monday–Friday schedule. You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to system issues, and document activities in the CMMS while coordinating with the facilities team.

Responsibilities include carpentry work, rounds of the central utilities plant, and ensuring compliance with building and safety codes.

Qualifications

• One year of experience with HVAC equipment and building mechanical systems.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, install, and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment and related systems.
• Follow safety and building codes; ensure energy management systems are monitored.
• Respond to maintenance requests and document work in CMMS.
• Perform carpentry work and minor repairs as needed.
• Assist with central plant operations and logs.
