Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 2–3 years of experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task with interruptions and during emergencies.
• Ability to stand and move about for long periods.
• Reliable transportation to arrive on time for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with opening and closing the building.
• Assist with setting up rooms for programs and events.
• Provide proactive customer service and custodial duties.
• Perform daily custodial tasks (garbage, bathrooms, cleaning, dusting).
• Assist with minor repairs and report safety issues.
• Help with groundskeeping (salting sidewalks, snow removal).
• Respond promptly to custodial or facility requests.
• Coordinate with facilities and security teams in meetings.
• Move library materials between locations as needed.
• Inventory supplies weekly and monthly.
