Neogen Corporation in Lansing, MI is seeking a versatile Facilities Operations Maintenance professional to oversee daily campus upkeep, interior and exterior tasks, and safety. You will ensure buildings are clean, safe, and fully operational, while maintaining professional outdoor spaces.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in building maintenance or groundskeeping, with experience using landscaping equipment and standard tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in general building maintenance, property management, or commercial groundskeeping.
• Proficient with commercial landscaping equipment (zero-turn mowers, trimmers, blowers) and standard hand/power tools used for building repairs.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions; lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and be on your feet for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for operating facility vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Building Maintenance & Structural Upkeep: Perform carpentry, drywall repair, interior/exterior painting, and door/hardware adjustments; minor plumbing/electrical repairs.
• Comprehensive Groundskeeping: Maintain lawns, landscaping upkeep, and debris removal across parking lots and walkways.
• Seasonal Operations: Manage weather-related safety, snow removal, salting walkways, and stormwater drainage during heavy weather.
• Asset & Work Management: Track, log, and close routine work orders using CMMS to document daily facility tasks.
• Safety & Compliance: Operate tools safely; follow PPE protocols and basic Lockout/Tagout rules.
• Vendor Support & Janitorial Backup: Coordinate with external contractors and assist with deep cleaning or emergency spills.
