Job summary

The City of Eugene is seeking a Facilities Ops/Maint Supervisor to lead skilled staff in maintaining and repairing City-owned facilities, pools, and grounds at 210 Cheshire Avenue. The role oversees safety, quality, and service delivery, coordinates with the Facilities Operations & Maintenance Manager, and ensures compliance with codes and standards.

The ideal candidate has five years of facilities ops and maintenance experience with supervisory exposure, a bachelor’s degree, and a valid Oregon

Qualifications

• Five years of progressively responsible experience in facilities operations and maintenance, including two years of supervisory responsibility or four years of responsible lead worker experience.
• Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in areas of responsibility or a closely related field.
• Must pass a background check.
• Valid Oregon driver’s license (or ability to obtain by date of hire) and driving record meeting City standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the work of skilled employees engaged in maintenance, operation modification, and repair of City facilities, buildings, structures, pools, and grounds.
• Provide highly complex administrative and technical support to senior Facilities management staff.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper functioning of buildings, pools, and grounds; oversee multiple maintenance activities and inspections.
• Oversee emergency response after hours and coordinate with 911 and security systems as needed.
• Develop work plans, schedules, and budgets; manage contracts and vendor payments.
• Model respectful work relationships and support equity and human rights in the workplace.
