Job summary

Freeman Health System in Bentonville, AR seeks a Facilities Manager to lead a maintenance team across multiple sites and ensure life safety/NFPA compliance. You will supervise staff, coordinate repairs, and manage vendor relationships while maintaining thorough documentation.

The role supports budgeting, cost control, and on-call readiness for emergencies, with travel between sites as needed. A Mechanical Engineering background and strong problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical field.
• Experience in maintenance.
• Experience in staff supervision.
• Current driver's license.
• Willingness to travel between multiple work sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff maintaining facilities under the Director of Facilities Management.
• Coordinate repair and preventative maintenance of buildings, equipment and parking lots.
• Maintain Life Safety program and NFPA required maintenance and inspections for regulatory compliance.
• Provide cost proposals, issue POs, and supervise vendor repairs as necessary.
• Maintain accurate documentation including employee files, inspections, permits and equipment certifications.
• Utilize blueprints and Life Safety drawings to support facility operations.
• Provide technical input and troubleshoot system failures.
• Assist in snow removal and winter weather response.
• Assist the Director with controlling expenses and budgeting.
