Job summary

County of Riverside seeks a Support Services Supervisor for the Facility Services - Operations division in Riverside, with travel to shelter locations across Riverside County. This hands-on, working supervisor will oversee daily janitorial, facility maintenance, and operational activities across shelters.

The ideal candidate has hands-on janitorial and facilities maintenance experience, handyman skills including drywall, plumbing, painting, and furniture repairs, plus prior lead or supervisory

Qualifications

• Three years of progressive responsibility in custodial, materials management or maintenance.
• Valid California Class C driver's license.
• Ability to supervise, train and review team performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee janitorial, facility maintenance, and operational activities across shelter locations.
• Perform and oversee minor facility repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate janitorial services and facility upkeep, including kennels and shelter areas.
• Manage warehouse and inventory and coordinate deliveries and purchase orders.
• Assign, review, and coordinate daily work; train and support staff; monitor performance.
