Job summary

City of Maitland is seeking a working supervisor to oversee the Facilities Maintenance Division, coordinating schedules, custodial services, and repairs for City buildings.

The role requires 5+ years in maintenance with supervisory experience, NIMS IS-700, Florida security trainings, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to respond to emergencies while managing budgets and inventories.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 5+ years in building construction and maintenance or related fields with 3+ years supervisory experience.
• Must obtain NIMS IS-700 within 30 days of employment and IC-100/IC-200 within 90 days.
• Must complete Cyber Security Awareness Training and Criminal Justice Security Awareness Training within required timeframes.
• Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License and pass a fingerprint-based background check.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise the Facilities Maintenance Division operations, including staff scheduling and work completion.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs and inspect work for quality.
• Assist in budget preparation and monitor departmental expenditures.
• Oversee inventory in the work order management system and coordinate repairs for City-owned buildings.
• Respond to facility alarms and citizen inquiries related to City services.
