Job summary

The supervisor role at Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority oversees facilities services staff, directing the servicing and repair of buildings, grounds, bus stops and shelters in a timely and safe manner.

The position requires an Associate degree, at least five years in facilities maintenance, and two or more years of supervisory experience in a union environment. A valid Michigan driver’s license and Microsoft Office proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance.
• Minimum of 2 or more years of direct supervisory experience; supervisory experience in a unionized environment preferred.
• Valid Michigan Driver’s License required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and related database software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work requests and assign work according to priority and available resources.
• Plan, supervise, and schedule workload for facilities services employees.
• Monitor the workflow and performance of assigned employees; recommend changes as needed.
• Oversee inventories of products, tools, maintenance parts, and supplies.
• Prepare cost estimates on work orders and facility repairs.
